Dental crowns fit over dental implants and look like real teeth. Crowns are most often made of porcelain because it’s strong, resistant to staining, and reflects light like a natural tooth.
Usually made of titanium or ceramic , the abutment is a connector between the crown (the part that looks like a tooth) and the implant that connects to the jaw.
The fixture is a small titanium screw that is inserted into the jawbone to act as foundation to support the replacement tooth . The fixture osseointegrates (fuses) with the jaw, making it strong enough to bite and chew on.
